Fancy something a bit different?

Then a night cycle might be the thing…..

Yes I think we’ll take the plunge. With the right gear and an attentive cycling manner, this could be a memorable and exciting 80 km. We plan to take in a chunk of north Kerry that avoids most of the main roads but is still somewhat familiar to most of us.

Date: Monday 21 August 2017

Start point: Meadowlands Hotel

Time: 10:30 pm. Expect to be out for about 3.5 hours

Speed: About 22 kmph

Route: North Kerry.

Distance: 80 km

Bring with you:

  • Reflective top
  • Strong front and back lights
  • If possible spare lights
  • Enough sustenance. Highly unlikely we’ll find a place open
  • Warm clothing

This spin is very much reliant on good weather conditions. Cycling at night will be challenging enough without rain and wind to contend with. We’ll make the call in good time.
